The Pajama Cookout

Hello friends,
Every Tuesday evening Alan and I try to have a "just for fun party" for the kids. When $$$ are tight, and going out on the town for fun is nowhere in sight, then use your imagination!
This has actually been a big hit for the kids, and they really look forward to the next week.
Last week we had an Alien party. We were loaded up with Pop Rocks, Glow sticks and plenty of Alien treats.
And, this week we had a Pajama cookout. We roasted hot dogs & marshmallows down at our fire pit by the pond. Tiffanie and Jayda joined us for the party,and we all had a splendid time.
At the end of the evening, Grandpa spoiled us with Dutch oven Black Forest cake.
Plain and simple fun !

Sounds like lots of fun and I'm sure the kids loved every minute. This is probably an activity they wouldn't mind repeating. I don't think I've ever heard of Dutch oven Black Forest cake before but anything that's called Black Forest cake has to be good.:0}

Isn't that the truth, kids remember the fun times and laughter rather than how much money was spent! Great idea :)

What a great idea for a fun family night. Looks like everyone enjoyed themselves. Hmm... I've never tried to bake a cake in a dutch oven, it sounds really good.
