" Boo Magic "

Remember a few posts ago, I showed you a pic of my whimsical piece I was working on for a local Art Show/ Contest called " See the Magic ". Well, here he is " Boo Magic " He just recently returned home from the show with a few credits under his belt.

I was tickled orange & so honored to have won 1st place in the 3-d arts division and 1st place in peoples choice.
I am, what I call and underground artist..lol I have always stayed on the down-low in my community as far as art goes. I love to visit the museum and go to the local plays, but i really have not shared with many in my hometown, what comes to life in my studio. In the past years I have sold my work online, and I guess that is where I chose to promote my work.

I entered my " Boo Magic " and was delighted and honored to know, that my work touched a magical place in the communities heart.
It is a feeling that is priceless.

On May 1st. at 12:00 noon Eastern time, On the Halloween Queens Castle Bootique " Boo Magic " will be looking for a new home to sprinkle his whimsies of Halloween magic !

Art's A Fluttering in May!

Hi all ! I had to take a moment and share this sweet photo of my granddaughter Jayda. She is posing here with the cake she and her daddy made for her mommy. She is sooo proud.
Today I had the great pleasure to watch Jayda while Mom & dad were at work, and she brought some of her yummy cake to share. It was scrum-dilly-umptious!!!! All I can say is... Move over Rachael Ray, this 21 month old baker is taking over!! Lol...

" Lilly " is my new May offering for "Arts A Flutter". She is lovely, Sassy and Gothic and will be available for adoption
tomorrow, 1:00 pm pacific time.
I really enjoyed creating this sweetie. I sculpted her atop an old handmade glass bottle stopper and was so pleased with the way she turned out. I hope you like her too!
Wishing you all a SPLENDID Friday ;)

Littlest Witch Of the West

Before I reveal my newest Ebay auction, I wanted to share this Scrum-dilly-umptious recipe!
We were having all the kids over for Easter dinner, and this year I wanted to serve something different then the traditional Ham that I generally serve. One of my favorite sites to find recipes is Allrecipe.com. I ran across this Chicken florentine recipe and it sounded so yummy I tried it. IT was sooooo good, and such a hit.
I will mention that if you are watching your waistline or fat intake, saddly this is definitley not the recipe, but once in awhile, i dont think it would hurt. Here's the recipe Chicken Florentine.
Note: I changed one thing, I used fresh spinach in place of canned.

"The Littlest Witch Of The West" is one of my newest little Ornie creations. She is available now on Ebay!
I Love creating these little ornies, In fact, I think they may possibly be my favorite, and have more on the work table in the magical process of creation.

Wishing you all a week full of magical fun!

The Legend of the Daffodil

Author: unknown
Each time a Guardian Angel
sees a good deed being done--
A special springtime kindness,
or a prayer said for someone..
She plucks a star from heaven,
and it floats to earth until
it blooms in all its glory,
as a golden daffodil!

I am lost in a world of magical tranquility when I wander down a path surrounded by fresh green grasses, and gorgeous flowers. The smell of the earth, and all of it's colorful gifts is spiritual.
Slowly but surely, signs of Spring are emerging here in N. Utah. My favorite of all flowers can be seen beaming bright. The Daffodil has been my favorite flower since I was a tiny little curious girl. I see bright faces when I look at them, each different, and each beaming brightly.
This past weekend, Mr. Mac and I took a ride out to the Co-op store. It was the first time I had been there since they opened a year ago. I was so impressed, they have everything a Farmer needs, as well as everything a non-farmer needs. One thing they had that I wanted so badly was, the cutest little Easter bunnies ever. I saw them ,and instantly thought they would make a great addition to our family & yard. I began secretly tallying up everything we would need and the cost. I wanted all the facts, before i presented my idea to Mr. Mac. I thought I would take another glance at the cute little bunnies, but to my surprise, some lucky someone bought them.
I'm sure they will delight some little youngster come Easter morning. And, I'm sure Mr. Mac is grateful for that.lol...

OMGoodness! What is this "Cool Ghoul" doing amongst the Spring time bliss? Well, although the seasons change, I adore, and enjoy each of them, but one thing does not change in my Little yellow Studio," Halloween "continues year round. This is my newest tiny ornie. The pics just do not describe how darn cute he is. I have enjoyed creating these little Ghouls & Goblin ornies. This " Cool Ghoul " was just listed on Ebay. It is a 3-day auction with Free shipping as a holiday gift from me to you :)

Wishing you all a splendid day!

See The Magic !

It started with winds whistling throughout the night, followed by buckets of rain, and now this fluffy white stuff. I am sure our ski resorts are tickled pink, as this snow storm should continue throughout Saturday.Days like this keep me content in my studio.

The colorful signs that Spring is on it's way in our neck of the woods, is very encouraging, as this storm moves through the state.

I have been keeping very busy in the studio with a variety of creations for upcoming venues. Today i geared my focus on painting this whimsical fellow.I have much painting yet to do as far as fine detailing, shading and highlighting. Once the painting is complete, I will add some accessories and fluffer-do :) The title of this fellow is " See The Magic "I hope that when this piece is complete, I will have captured that Magic! He will be in an Art Show next week, then will make his way to the Queens Bootique in May.

Thanks for visiting and many wishes to you for a wonderful weekend :)
