Happy Jack, E Bay Listing

Don't you all fall off your chairs ! I know it has been a really, really long time since you've seen a creation come from my hands, I can hardly believe it myself... Things have settled down around here and I joyously found my way back to the studio.

" HAPPY JACK" and happy he is :)

This fun little JOL bust was fun to create. I tried something

new.
I broke out my soldering iron and gave Ol' Happy a soldered

edge around his base as well as soldered arm joints and a

soldered ball a top his hat. Something different, but very cool ;)

Happy Jack was put up for adoption this morning. If you would

like to see and learn more about him just click on the link.

As The Pond Turns

I'm thinking that we skipped last Wednesday for an episode of, AS The Pond Turns. We were smack dab in the middle of family excitement and didn't even think of pond building. However, at the wee early hours this morning we were back at it. We are all but finished with the laying of the rock on the inside of the pond except for around the skimmer and waterfall where the stream empties into the pond. Alan needs to do some work on the skimmer before the rock can be laid. Anyways, we went to a rock sales yard and were searching for the perfect rock that we wanted for around the perimeter of the pond. We found some gorgeous Moss rock. It will look as if the pond was there for years.

I just love the look of this rock and the old, aged moss..

Here is another fabulous treasure given to us by our son-in-law Chris. This log will look wonderful with graceful and trailing plantings peeking out from the hole. Our cat, Piper thinks its a great place for a nap. Hmmm, we'll have to see about that?

Although we brought in 1800 lbs. of moss rock today, we will need quite a bit more to finish the perimeter of the pond. this is a view looking south toward the pond.

And this is the view looking east of the pond. Alan re-routed the stream and large waterfall to be. We felt it would be better if it were seen from all angles of our yard. You probably noticed the water in the pond. When Alan rerouted the stream , he put the hose on top of the waterfall to see how well the flow in the stream was. It was such a beautiful and tranquil sound that we listened while we worked..and filled up the pond a little.

Thanks for visiting us this week on, As The Pond Turns..

Early this morning , 12:oo am to be exact, I awoke from a wonderous sleep... I had a mad sweet tooth so I mosied my way into the kitchen to raid the cupboards in hopes that I could satisfy my cravings...
minutes later I snuggled back into bed. Tossing and turning, I decided to get up and turn on the computer to visit my blog friends. I glanced over at the clock and it read 12:15 and suddenly I was lost into a world of beautiful memories. On July 14,1985 at 12:15 am my sweet daughter Tiffanie was born. The beginning of an incredible and lovely journey began... Tiffanie is kind, compassionate and gentle soul... she is a deep thinker, and gives the most high strung person a sense of calmness when near her...
Tiffanie has grown into a beautiful woman and just recently has become a mommy and has a daughter of her own..
Happy Birthday, I love you Tiffanie :)

Welcome Jayda !

Finally after a long 9 month wait.. My granddaughter, Jayda Kate arrived on July 6Th 2009 at 3:17 pm.
weighing in at 6lbs.60z and 19 1/2 inches long, this little bundle of joy is more perfect then we had imagined.
Here is the proud Mommy, my daughter Tiffanie. She was just beaming and still is :)

We had a full house in the hospital waiting room, everyone so anxious for the arrival of Jayda. However, some just couldn't wait any longer and had to get a quick nap in... yep, little Kasen was all tuckered out!

Tiffanie was able to go home with her sweetheart, Chris and their new baby,Jayda the very next day. They are seeming to enjoy parenthood quite well..

I wanted to wish everyone a happy and safe 4th of July! I hope you all have lots of fun things planned with family and friends!
Our family is looking forward to a big BBQ at my brother and sister-in-laws(best- est friend too!) house. They were born to entertain, with a whole lot of good food &fun.
But very importantly I would like to say Thank You to all of our TROOPS and their FAMILIES from PAST to PRESENT , who have courageously fought for our freedom.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Thrift Store Thursday

Ahhh, Wednesday was a very fun day for me indeed! I will tell you why... I had the chance to join Holly for thrift store Thursday and this just had to happen as the last long while I have been taking care of my daughter and my sweet little grand babies and my Mama. After work from day to day I have been running back and forth taking care of them... I love to do it but you know, sometimes a persons LOVE CUP runs a little low and they need to take some time for themselves, even if it's a tiny bit of time, and fill that Love Cup back up. So that's exactly what I did! I didn't work on the pond, I didn't clean house, I didn't take care of anyone but me ,well okay, except my fur babies. I fed them and gave them some love.. Then...
I went thriftin' I love going to yard sales and thrift stores and I did find a couple of fun, had to have items....

When I saw this, I daydreamed about this........

Yes! a perfect wooden box to hold my gardening supplies :) I was perfectly happy with this box and my little daydream so I bought it for only a $1

Now for my next find :) Holy cow I had to SCREAM! I was drawn to this super cool piece of handmade pottery, I guarded this fab find, while I wondered if this cool modern style would fit in with my eclectic cottagy mix. HMMMMMMmmmm!
I found myself lost into daydreaming of this fine piece holding a whimsically, delicate plant sitting a top a table in my shade garden. Okay, I was sold, had to have it! A great deal for a hand made and signed piece of pottery for a mere $3
I had a great few hours to myself, my Love cup is full again and I am ready to go care for my daughter and mama :)
